For me the amenities were perfect, and that I had sink and shower in my room. For the toilet I needed to get out to the hallway shared bathroom but it was also nice because there was a bathtub which I appreciate very much in a hotel. Room was big enough to not feel like in prison which nowadays is luxury. Perfect for one person to stay for one, two weeks or more. I liked that the window was able to be opened which also nowadays you don't have often. But this hotel is in a nice residential house / area. Bus connection very easy to get into town center of Reading. Bus every ten minutes and you're there in ten. Owner very nice and helpful. Breakfast very cheap but I never tried unfortunately. Lots of mirrors in the room which made it appear bigger. Bed very comfortable. TV in the room to watch news and music. Very practical also that there is a desk in the room to write on / put things on. I will stay there again next time!

Very old needs some paint and new curtains and updated lighting as it's very old and dimly lit....however it was clean coffee and tea were provided and the staff exstreamly welcoming and helpful. Extra blanket given upon request and thankfully once 10 30 hit it was very quiet and even as a light sleeper I had a really great night's rest. Shower was loverly and hot no mold or dirt and towels provided were fluffy and smelt lovely. I would definitely recommend this place for a cheap and cozy nights rest I was highly impressed with parking and value for money. I will use this place again at this very fair price.

The old part of the hotel where we stayed is lovely. I can't comment on the rooms in the annexe. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. The room was beautiful with an amazing soft bed. They have set the heating to be easily controlled by the guests and it was such a relief not to be too hot at night! Everything was clean and well decorated. I particularly liked that there were plenty of power points and that they had USB sockets in them. We went to a murder mystery dinner and overnight stay and would thoroughly recommend it. The breakfast was especially nice.

I had a bit of an issue with the initial room. I asked for a hoover so I could give it a quick once over, but this was refused despite my protests that it would not take me long. The person in charge said it was not acceptable and that they would change the room. The room with it's own bathroom is very nice indeed. The consideration and effort of the host extremely commendable.

Basic, but all clean and tidy and good value for money. Staff were very kind and helpful. Very useful having a parking area outside hotel and near good transport links and places of worship. Room had everything we needed, which we couldn’t fault. A very tidy and welcoming, well-stocked bar and lounge area, which we spent much time in and was very homely.
